Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to your most common questions
Yes, absolutely! Children from all linguistic backgrounds are welcome. You don't need to speak Welsh at home - your child will learn the language naturally at the Cylch. Over 76% of children in Cylchoedd Meithrin come from non-Welsh speaking homes.
No problem! We accept children who are still in nappies. Our staff will change nappies as needed throughout the session. Please bring plenty of nappies and wipes in your child's bag.
We offer gradual settling sessions that help your child become familiar with the environment. Typically, you will stay with your child for the first session or two, before leaving for short periods, and then longer. Every child is different, so we will work with you to ensure the process is smooth.
We welcome all children and work closely with parents and professionals to support children with additional needs. Speak to us about your child's needs and we can discuss how we can best support them.
We work closely with Casmael School to ensure a smooth transition. We will share information about your child's development (with your permission) and arrange visits to the school. Your child will be very well prepared for the next step!
If your child is ill, we ask that you keep them at home until they are better. Specifically, children should be kept at home for 48 hours after vomiting or diarrhea. If your child has medication to be given during the session, please speak to the staff.
